Dr. Keels serves as Partner at Kind Health, bringing over 15 years of comprehensive experience in mental health treatment and program development to her strategic leadership role. Her educational foundation reflects a deep commitment to understanding human behavior and therapeutic intervention, beginning with her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2008, followed by her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2014. This advanced training in both individual and systemic therapeutic approaches provides her with unique insights into the complexities of mental health treatment across different modalities and settings.

Throughout her extensive career in the recovery and mental health industry, Dr. Keels has demonstrated exceptional leadership in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment programs. Her experience includes creating, implementing, and overseeing Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Individual and Family Therapy services at Lighthouse Recovery, where she has been instrumental in designing treatment frameworks that address the diverse needs of individuals and families navigating mental health and addiction challenges. Her clinical expertise encompasses both individual therapeutic work and family systems therapy, allowing her to understand how mental health challenges impact not just individuals but entire family units and support systems.
In her role as Partner at Kind Health, Dr. Keels leverages her extensive program development experience to guide the practice’s vision and strategic direction.
