Paying for Treatment

Kind Health is an in-network provider with most major insurance plans, including HMO’s, PPOs, Medicare. If using insurance you’ll upload a copy of your insurance information prior to the first appointment. We bill your insurance per visit, and you’re responsible for paying any co-pays, coinsurance, or deductibles. The amount owed will depend on the specifics of your insurance plan. Payments for your portion are made before each visit, and we accept all major debit and credit cards.

Kind also offers cost-effective private-pay options for those without insurance and financing options via CareCredit.

Cancellation Policy

When you schedule a session, that time is reserved just for you. If you miss more than half of your scheduled session, we’ll need to reschedule, and your payment method on file will be charged the full session fee. Also, in order to avoid a missed-session charge, please provide us with 24 hours notice if you will not be able to make your appointment.

What types of mental health conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and more. Our team tailors treatment plans to each individual to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Does insurance cover online psychiatry?

Most all major insurance providers cover online psychiatry. We are in-network with most carriers and offer flexible payment plans for those paying out-of-pocket. Our goal is to make sure cost isn’t a barrier to receiving the care you need.

What qualifications and experience do your psychiatrists and providers have?

We’re highly selective about who joins Kind. Less than 5% of providers who apply meet our standards. Our network includes only board-certified psychiatrists and experienced psychiatric nurse practitioners with specialized training across a wide range of mental health conditions. We’re committed to providing expert, evidence-based care to all of our patients.

How do telehealth appointments work, and are they as effective as in-person visits?

Telehealth appointments are conducted via secure video conferencing, allowing you to receive high-quality care from the comfort of your home or office. Many patients find telehealth just as effective as in-person visits, with the added convenience of flexible scheduling.

How long will it take to see improvement with treatment?

The timeline for improvement varies depending on the individual and their condition. Some patients may see progress within a few weeks, while others might take longer. We regularly monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure you’re on the right path.
