“My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized to each patient. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive psychotherapy to help address both symptoms and the underlying factors that impact emotional wellbeing. My goal is to partner with you to develop a treatment plan that feels realistic, empowering, and aligned with your needs. Together, we’ll focus on improving daily functioning, building resilience, and supporting long-term mental wellness.”
Before joining Kind, Elizabeth served as Director of Nursing at an inpatient substance use treatment program in Austin, where she provided executive-level clinical leadership for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Her career also includes roles in inpatient psychiatric care at Rock Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, Austin State Hospital’s child and adolescent unit, and Dell Children’s Hospital’s behavioral health unit – giving her deep experience with crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and interdisciplinary treatment planning across the lifespan.
Elizabeth is trained in trauma-informed and trust-based relational approaches, and she brings a strong foundation in psychopharmacology, patient safety, and care coordination. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the American Society of Addiction Nursing, and Texas Nurse Practitioners – reflecting her commitment to staying connected to the evolving landscape of psychiatric and addiction care.
Elizabeth works with individuals of all ages and treats a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and trauma-related conditions. She believes effective mental health care starts with creating a safe, supportive space where people feel comfortable sharing their experiences and goals.
